International Women's Conference Scholarship

The USQ Women's Network will offer one International Women's Conference Scholarship for a female student commencing a bachelor's degree in 2018.

Value

The USQ Bookshop bursary will have a maximum value of $1500.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:
  • be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status 
  • identify as female 
  • commence their studies in a bachelor degree in Semester 1 2018
  • be enrolled at any USQ Campus 
  • be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2 
  • be studying on-campus, external or online.

Selection criteria

Applicants must:
  • submit a personal statement (one page maximum) demonstrating:
    •  a history of involvement within your school, extracurricular activities or within your local community in one or more of the following areas:
      • justice, health and community services, education, environmental and social service related fields
  • provide evidence of a high level of academic achievement, e.g. high school report card or post-secondary academic history, as applicable        
  • provide evidence of financial hardship.  Please refer to "Frequently asked questions - What documents should I attach to show financial hardship?"
