WOMEN IN LAW
The objectives of Chambers Women in Law are to:
1) promote and further the advancement of women in the law on an international level
2) raise awareness and discussion of key issues that affect women in law
3) provide a professional and social network for women lawyers
The Chambers Women in Law awards recognise the outstanding achievements of female lawyers at the pinnacle of their professional careers as well as up and coming lawyers who are beginning to make their mark. The Chambers WIL blog provides an opportunity for discussion around the issues of women’s visibility and promotion within the legal profession.
We also hold an annual Chambers USA Women in Law awards in New York which honours private practice lawyers, in-house counsel and law firms who are making an impact in furthering the advancement of women in the law. We look forward to continuing the debate and raising the profile of women lawyers across the world. If you have any thoughts, comments or suggestions about this initiative, we would love to hear from you.
In 2013, we launched a our Women in Law seminars for general counsel. We have held events in Miami, New York and Sao Paulo.
